The regular Dutch American Express cards earn Membership Rewards, which can be used with various travel partners. Look beyond any welcome offer: compare the ongoing fee, benefits you will actually use, card acceptance and the terms for earning a bonus.
The Gold Card currently costs €20 per month. Its Dutch product page lists four included lounge visits per membership year. The regular Platinum Card currently shows €75 per month and offers a much broader lounge collection as well as Privium for the primary cardholder. Guest rules, supplementary card costs and insurance conditions deserve a separate check before you count any advertised benefit as a saving. The outstanding Amex balance must be paid in full each month.
Gold costs €240 a year; Platinum costs €900. The extra €660 is worth paying only if you will actually use the additional benefits. Price the lounge visits and Privium access you would otherwise buy. Ask a rental company whether it accepts Amex for the deposit and bring another way to pay when travelling.

Select “View all cards” to switch to The Gold Card. Check the bonus, required purchases and terms for the card you actually select before applying. The referrer may receive a reward. Since July 2026, transfers to Flying Blue use 2 Membership Rewards points for 1 Mile; do not compare an MR bonus with the same number of Miles at face value.
