The regular Dutch American Express Gold and Platinum cards earn Membership Rewards points. The annual fee has to be justified by lounge access, Privium and other services you actually use. The balance must be paid in full each month.
Our invitation initially opens on The Platinum Card. Select “View all cards” to choose The Gold Card. The selected card’s offer appears on its final application page; the referrer may receive a reward. Since 1 July 2026, transfers to Flying Blue use 2 Membership Rewards points for 1 Mile.
Gold or Platinum for a Dutch traveller?
Gold costs €240 a year and includes four lounge visits. Platinum costs €900 and adds broader lounge access and Privium. Its €660 annual premium requires real use of those extra services. Two Membership Rewards points currently convert to one Flying Blue Mile; these cards do not award Flying Blue XP.
