United Airlines opened its new Terminal B North at Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport on 22 October. The concourse has 22 gates and a new United Club with seating for 800 travellers.
New gates and facilities
The gates are designed for narrow-body aircraft. Every United flight operating from these gates uses a jet bridge.
The three-level concourse covers approximately 71,000 square metres. Facilities include local restaurants, a children’s play area and a separate sensory room for travellers with sensory sensitivities.
A United Club spanning over 5,000 square metres
The new lounge occupies more than 5,000 square metres on the mezzanine level. It has two bars, two buffets and eleven private phone rooms. An outdoor terrace of approximately 125 square metres overlooks the airfield.
United describes the facility as the largest airline club in North and South America. Access is available through options including United Club membership, eligible United credit cards and qualifying premium-cabin tickets.
