United has introduced an official Starlink flight checker. Enter your travel date and flight number up to three days before departure to see whether your flight is expected to offer the satellite connection.

Check the flight rather than just the aircraft type

The tool reflects the aircraft assigned to a flight, including last-minute changes. United says assignments are usually confirmed within 24 hours of departure and remain subject to change.

Its fleet overview also shows why the aircraft type alone is insufficient: installation progress varies within individual aircraft families. Separate views cover regional, narrowbody and widebody aircraft, as well as the airline’s US hubs.

Nearly half of daily departures

On 15 October, United reported Starlink on more than 635 aircraft, operating over 2,500 flights a day. It aims to finish installations by the end of 2027. Those are network-wide figures and do not confirm availability on an individual flight from the Netherlands.

Access is free for MileagePlus members on equipped flights, and joining MileagePlus is free. The flight-number search is therefore the useful check for your own journey, particularly if the assigned aircraft changes shortly before departure.
