Lufthansa adds Nagoya and Tokyo-Narita for summer 2027

Lufthansa is expanding its Japan network next summer with Frankfurt flights to Nagoya and Tokyo-Narita. Travellers based in the Netherlands will have more choice with a connection in Frankfurt.

Nagoya returns, Narita goes daily

The seasonal Nagoya service starts on 29 March 2027, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. A daily seasonal flight to Tokyo-Narita starts on 28 March 2027, alongside the existing Tokyo-Haneda services.

Lufthansa plans to use Boeing 787-9 aircraft with Allegris on both routes, offering Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class. Aircraft assignments and schedules may change.

Another option from Schiphol

The Nagoya service is already available to book. For example, Lufthansa’s booking system currently offers an Amsterdam–Frankfurt–Nagoya itinerary departing on 21 April 2027. This is a checked itinerary example, rather than a promise of availability on every date or a fixed fare.

Nagoya adds a useful gateway to central Japan, while Narita expands the choice of Tokyo arrival airports. Compare the airport, connection time and fare conditions when choosing a ticket. These new services begin in March 2027.
