TUI is adding two long-haul options for summer 2027 that matter to travellers from the Netherlands: Amsterdam–Kilimanjaro and Düsseldorf–Curaçao. The airline plans two flights a week on each route, using a Boeing 787.
Kilimanjaro from Amsterdam, combined with Zanzibar
The new connection to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania will form part of a combined routing with Zanzibar. TUI announced this in its summer programme on 24 September 2026.
Travellers combining a mainland safari with a stay on Zanzibar will have another departure option from Schiphol. However, check the routing in each direction when booking. The announcement does not describe nonstop flights in both directions: check any intermediate stops and the total journey time for your travel dates.
For a combination holiday, also check your arrival and departure airports. Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar are different destinations; a ticket to one airport does not automatically arrange your onward journey to the other.
Nonstop from Düsseldorf to Curaçao
TUI plans a new nonstop service from Düsseldorf to Curaçao. According to the Curaçao Tourist Board, the two weekly flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays.
Düsseldorf can therefore offer an alternative for travellers living near the Dutch border. Compare the complete journey with a Schiphol departure: besides the fare, include travel to and from the airport, parking or public transport, and the days of operation.
The German departure in this announcement applies to Curaçao. The new Kilimanjaro connection will depart from Amsterdam.
What should you check when planning?
These are announced routes for summer 2027. The group announcement does not give specific ticket prices or a complete flight timetable. Check with TUI whether your dates and preferred type of trip are available, and compare booking conditions before committing to other parts of your holiday.
Preparation also matters for Tanzania: read our explanation of the additional travel insurance for mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
