Oman Air and Finnair announced a codeshare on 18 October. It includes Finnair’s Amsterdam–Helsinki service and a Melbourne connection through Bangkok.
What changes on your ticket?
A codeshare allows an airline to sell a partner-operated flight under its own flight number. The operating airline still determines the aircraft and cabin on board.
Oman Air gives Helsinki via London Heathrow as an example: Oman Air operates Muscat–London, while Finnair operates London–Helsinki. Finnair’s Helsinki services from Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Milan and Rome are also included.
Melbourne through Bangkok
The Australian connection runs through Bangkok, served twice daily by Oman Air from Muscat, connecting with Finnair’s Melbourne service. Read our earlier article about Finnair’s Melbourne route for the itinerary and cabins.
