Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya and Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya switched to all-inclusive on 1 October. Waldorf Astoria has a further change ahead: from 10 January 2027, the resort will welcome registered guests aged 18 and over only.
Conrad still welcomes families
At Conrad Tulum, the same age threshold will apply from that date only within the separate Ceiba Club. The wider resort remains focused on multigenerational guests. Both hotels are adopting all-inclusive stays, but their intended audiences differ.
Existing reservations keep their original conditions
Hilton says existing reservations will be honoured according to the originally booked plan and confirmed terms. An older booking therefore does not automatically receive every benefit of the new all-inclusive rate.
Waldorf Astoria has one exception: bookings involving guests under 18 with an arrival on or after 10 January 2027. The resort says it will assist these guests in finding alternative accommodation. If this affects your reservation, contact the hotel before committing to other parts of the trip.
Compare what the arrangement includes
For a holiday from the Netherlands, the move to all-inclusive can change the comparison with a standalone hotel stay. Check what your room rate includes for your dates and which experiences cost extra. Special included experiences and airport transfers can have eligibility conditions; they should not be treated as standard benefits of every booking.
Check the current options directly with Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya or Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya, taking the ages of everyone travelling into account.
