KLM will serve 164 destinations in 64 countries during its winter schedule from 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027. The airline is adding capacity on existing routes and returning several destinations to its winter network. Toronto Pearson is set to be the destination of KLM’s first commercial passenger flight with the Airbus A350. KLM expects the first passenger flight in a few weeks; its arrival announcement does not give an exact departure date.

More flights on popular routes

The network comprises 93 European and 71 intercontinental destinations. Minneapolis returns to KLM’s winter schedule for the first time since winter 2023. San Diego will be served throughout the entire winter season for the first time.

KLM plans up to ten weekly flights to Panama City during peak periods and nine to São Paulo. Curaçao will normally have nine weekly flights, rising to ten in January and February, twelve over the Christmas holidays and eleven during the spring holidays. In Europe, KLM is also adding flights to Rovaniemi, Kittilä, Florence and Basel.

First A350 arrives at Schiphol

Update 3 October 2026: KLM’s first Airbus A350-900 landed at Schiphol on 2 October. Toronto remains its first passenger destination. The aircraft has 331 seats: 271 in Economy, 26 in Premium Comfort and 34 in World Business Class. EASA has approved the Business Class seat test results, allowing the certification process to begin. This does not confirm that certification has been completed.

KLM has named its first A350 De Nachtwacht (The Night Watch), after Rembrandt’s painting. The second aircraft will be named Girl with a Pearl Earring.

KLM identifies Toronto Pearson as the destination of its first commercial A350 service. The latest announcement, dated 2 October, places the first passenger flight a few weeks away, without a fixed date. KLM says five of its twelve weekly Toronto flights will use the A350. Later in the winter, it intends to deploy the type to Montréal, Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and Nairobi as well.

The inaugural date and aircraft assignment may change again. Travellers who specifically want to fly on the A350 should check the aircraft shown for their chosen flight when booking and again before departure.

KLM also intends to resume services to Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam. The exact schedule depends on the situation in the Middle East, the airline says.
